I know how hard it can be when your child is struggling. You want them to feel confident and independent, but instead you’re navigating meltdowns, worries, or daily routines that feel harder than they should. You don’t have to figure it out alone. That’s why I started Pacific Kids Occupational Therapy. For over a decade, I’ve supported children in homes, schools, and clinics.
Along the way, I earned degrees in psychology and occupational therapy, but what matters most is how I use them: by focusing on foundational skills like sensory processing, self-regulation, and reflex integration. When those foundations are strong, kids naturally unlock the higher-level skills they need for focus, learning, and independence.
Getting dressed, brushing teeth, or sitting for homework ends in frustration or meltdowns. Your child struggles with everyday tasks that should feel simple.
Loud noises, crowded classrooms, or even certain clothing can send your child into overwhelm, or cause them to withdraw completely.
From sudden tantrums to difficulty calming down, your child has trouble regulating emotions, attention, and energy throughout the day.
Things like handwriting, balance, and coordination seem harder than expected, making school and play feel discouraging.
A thorough first step where we get to know your child. Through conversations with you, fun activities, and observation, we identify their strengths and challenges to create a plan that truly supports their growth.

Babies are born with reflexes that help them survive and develop in the first months of life.
Sometimes these reflexes don’t fade as they should, and they can affect balance, coordination, focus, and even behavior.
Occupational therapy works to integrate these early reflexes so children can build stronger foundations for learning, movement, and independence.
Self-regulation is a child’s ability to manage their emotions, attention, and energy in different situations.
When this is hard, small frustrations can turn into big meltdowns, or focusing in school can feel impossible.
Occupational therapy gives children tools and strategies to calm their bodies, handle emotions, and build confidence in everyday routines.
Sensory processing is how a child’s brain takes in and organizes information from their senses, like touch, sound, movement, and sight, so they can respond in a way that feels safe and comfortable.
When this process is off, everyday things like getting dressed, handling noise, or sitting in class can feel overwhelming.
Occupational therapy helps children strengthen these skills so they can stay calm, focused, & ready to learn.
